You've got to take the good with the bad

Today was one of my first days at Uni which was brilliant. Looking forward to getting stuck in there now. So I've come home after my lovely day out, to my mouldy house but lets not even go there, and started my daily search of game websites to see the news.

There have been rumours for a while that there was going to be a new DS so I wasn't to surprised to see that the DSi has been announced. I don't really know what to think of it. I like the increased screen size and the SD is a welcome addition. Especially seeing as they will introduce downloadable games for it. The only bit that really confuses me is the camera. It looks really crappy and I may be wrong but I just don't see any point in it. I know that I'll still be getting the DSi because I'm just a sucker for the new stuff!

So that was pretty exciting and everything but then, just when I was on a high, I was brought crashing back down to earth. Now I just mentioned that I was a sucker for new stuff but I love limited edition and collectors stuff even more. If a game that I'm really looking forward to is coming out I will without fail buy the special edition. There haven't been that many games out recently which I was looking forward to or that even had collectors editions but there was one. One shining game out there which I have been waiting what seems like forever for and that was Fable 2. It was even quite an exciting edition with a figurine and cards, extra content and everything. I'm sure you've noted by now that I'm using past tense. I just received an email saying due to stock demands the figurine and cards would not be included. Now I know that the in game content and documentaries are still there. And Game even took £10 off my order but I can't help feeling let down. Its the crappy novelty stuff that makes up a collectors edition. After hearing that online capabilities won't be available on release this just digs the knife in deeper.
